Julien A. Raemy, MSc, Knowledge Graph Engineer and IIIF Systems Architect

Julien A. Raemy was Knowledge Graph Engineer and IIIF Systems Architect at Swiss Art Research Infrastructure (SARI), University of Zurich, and Teaching and Research Assistant in Information Science at the Haute école de gestion de Genève.

He obtained a BSc in Library and Information Science (2017) and a MSc in Information Science (2020) from the Haute école de gestion de Genève. He has been working as an  assistant in the Department of Information Science at the Haute école de gestion de Genève since August 2017. He previously worked as photo archivist for the Montreux Jazz Digital Project at the EPFL (2015-17). Since 2019 he is one of the Technical Review Committee representatives of the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) Community, of which he has been an active member since 2016. His research interests are in Linked Open Data, digital preservation and user-centred design approaches and how to apply them in the cultural heritage domain.
