Angelica Tschachtli, MA, Senior Vocabulary Editor

Angelica Tschachtli was Senior Vocabulary Editor of the Swiss Art Research Infrastructure (SARI) at the University of Zurich, and editor at SIKART, Lexicon on art in Switzerland at the Swiss Institute for Art Research (SIK-ISEA). 

Trained as a primary school teacher, she completed her master’s degree in Art History at the University of Fribourg in 2011. After working as a journalist at a daily newspaper in Fribourg (2001–2010), she continued as an art historian, gaining professional experience at Pro Helvetia, Swiss Arts Council, Kunsthaus Zug, Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence and the Musée d’art et d’histoire Fribourg. She worked at the Society for Swiss Art History (GSK) in Bern (2012–2013). Her fields of interest are Swiss art history, the history and artistic depictions of emotions, and Digital Art History, especially standards like vocabularies to leverage accessibility of online resources.
