Sophie Hammer, MA, Front End Developer

Sophie Hammer is a front end developer at Swiss Art Research Infrastructure (SARI), University of Zurich, and a lecturer at the Department of Visual Communication at the University of Art and Industrial Design Linz.

Previously, Sophie Hammer worked at the Austrian National Library (ÖNB) (2019-2024). For the ÖNB, she developed interfaces for the management and use of digitized objects and, from 2021, was part of the ÖNB Labs, which provide digital collections for research, experimentation and creative use. She previously studied Experimental Design at the University of Art and Industrial Design Linz (2008), Comparative Literature with a focus on Digital Humanities at the University of Vienna (2012), and Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (2021). Her research interests lie at the intersection of art, digital humanities and user experience design.
