Muriel Heisch, MA, Scientific Coordinator TPF and Senior Data Curator

Muriel Heisch works as Scientific Coordinator TPF and Senior Data Curator at the Swiss Art Research Infrastructure (SARI), University of Zurich, and is PhD candidate at eikones - Centre for the Theory and History of the Image, University of Basel.

Muriel Heisch holds a master’s degree in Art History and Media Studies at the University of Basel (2019). During her studies, she was assistant at the Digital Humanities Lab, University of Basel (2014-2017). She has been working on her dissertation “Networked Art Reproductions – On the Form and Function of Reproductions in the Illustrated Art Journal Die Graphischen Künste” since September 2019.
Her research projects focus particularly on the visual culture and image production of the 19th century. She is also involved in the preservation and digitization of historical image collections, as well as exploring the use of digital research tools in art and media studies.
