Muriel Heisch, Dr. des., Scientific Coordinator TPF and Senior Data Curator
Muriel Heisch works as Scientific Coordinator TPF and Senior Data Curator at the Swiss Art Research Infrastructure (SARI), University of Zurich, and is a member of the UZH Data Stewards Network for the field of art history.
Muriel Heisch holds a master’s degree in Art History and Media Studies at the University of Basel (2019). During her studies, she was assistant at the Digital Humanities Lab, University of Basel (2014-2017). In April 2025, she completed her PhD with the dissertation “Vernetzte Reproduktionen – Über die Form und Funktion von Reproduktionsgrafiken aus der Perspektive der illustrierten Kunstzeitschrift Die Graphischen Künste” at eikones – Center for the Theory and History of the Image at the University of Basel (publication forthcoming).
Her research projects focus particularly on the visual culture and image production of the 19th century. She is also involved in the preservation and digitization of historical image collections, as well as exploring the use of digital research tools in art and media studies.
