Olya Nicolaeva, MA, Knowledge Graph Engineer and Digital Humanities Specialist

Olya Nicolaeva is Knowledge Graph Engineer and Digital Humanities Specialist at Swiss Art Research Infrastructure (SARI), University of Zurich. 

Olya Nicolaeva's academic background is in linguistics, philosophy of technology, decolonial studies and DH. Shortly before joining SARI, she was a Doctoral Assistant at the Laboratory for the History of Science and Technology at EPFL, Lausanne, and a teaching assistant for the course “History and the Digital”. Previously she worked on the Sphaera project and contributed to the development of the library infrastructure at the Max-Planck-Institute for History of Science in Berlin. She obtained an M.A. from the University of Potsdam, Germany, with a thesis on deconstruction of subject-object paradigm in continental philosophy of technology (2020), as well as an M.A. in linguistics from Tiraspol State University, Moldova (2010). Her research interests include design of data analysis pipelines for DH and optimization of interdisciplinary workflows.
