Announcing AAAo 2.0: Art and Architectural Argumentation Ontology (AAAo)
We’re excited to announce the release of version 2.0 of the Art and Architectural Argumentation Ontology (AAAo) – an ontology expanding the expressivity and accuracy of recording of social facts for historical research.

Built on and extending the core logic of the CIDOC Conceptual Reference Model (CIDOC CRM), AAAo 2.0 introduces a social fact-centred modelling logic that makes possible the expression of the context and provenance of socially constructed facts.
This release has been made possible through the Open Research Data Environment for the Arts (ORDEA) and was realised through the collaborative efforts of the Swiss Art Research Infrastructure (SARI) and Takin.solutions. We extend our gratitude to all contributors and supporting organisations for their invaluable input and dedication.
For a comprehensive overview of the ontology’s development and its applications, refer to our detailed documentation: https://www.sari.uzh.ch/en/ordea/aaao.html
We invite researchers, practitioners, and institutions in the cultural heritage domain to explore AAAo 2.0 and consider its integration into their semantic modeling practices.
